Description

Together, Toyota and United Way of Metropolitan Dallas believe in the power of unity to create lasting change. To that end, Toyota and United Way have partnered to provide residents/community groups with grants to implement projects that will positively impact the West Dallas community. 

Grant amounts range from $500 - $2,500 and will be awarded through two categories:

1. Resident Grants

2. Community Groups/Coalitions (examples could include Neighborhood Associateion, Block Club, Youth Group, etc.)


Eligibility Requirements: To qualify for funding consideration, the project must meet the following requirements:

1. The project must directly benefit the 75212 zip code.

2. The applicant must be a resident or a group of residents who reside within the 75212 zip code

3. The applicant must provide 1-3 references who can speak to the applicants community involvement and ability to carry out the proposed project.

4. The applicant must be willing to submit a final report, including any supportive materials (photos, videos, testimonials, etc)

5. The applicant, if selected as a finalist, must meet with the West Dallas Impact Panel (a committee that includes West Dallas leaders as well as team members from Toyota and United Way.


This is a chance for applicants to do something special for the community; however, funds will not be awarded for projects that have safety risks or those that unfairly exclude people. 

The Driving Resilience, Inclusion, Value, and Enrichment (DRIVE) grant program is one part of Toyota's larger commitment to expand opportunities and create a culture of inclusion to strengthen the West Dallas Community.
